Established in 2011, Sree Guru Public School (SGPS) has made fame as one of the most sought-after English medium private schools in Malur taluk. SGPS is affiliated to Karnataka State Board and offers schooling from Kindergarten to Standard 10. The School attracts close to 1,000 students hailing from Malur town and students coming from more than 30 villages located around Malur taluk. The School operates under a family trust named Blessing Educational Trust which aims at offering education for all.

Currently, the School's sprawling built up area of over 45,000 Sq. Ft. offers every modern facility wherein children are continually encouraged to play, learn & stay inspired for life.

Starting academic session 2020-21 the School’s management has changed hands with a new management consisting a set of new trustees in-charge of this esteemed institution. The new management team has decided to call the institution by its building name - Sree Guru Sadana (SGS) a concise name that will hereafter be used as an umbrella brand name for all the several courses that will be prospectively offered at SGS starting 2020-21.

The current management has also transformed SGS into a “No Donation School” resolute not to charge unnecessary fees in the name of donations, admission charges so on and so forth.

Even the old fee structure under the previous management has been slashed down by up to 37% with the sole intent to make education accessible to a greater percentage of population than catering only to a selected few. As of Academic Year 2020-21, SGS aspires to start I & II PU College, a Polytechnic College, a Degree College, and a CBSE School in the future to cater to the rising demands in & around the taluk for higher education & different curricula, especially the CBSE syllabus. Also included in SGS’s list of things to do, is to offer short & long-term teachers training courses. This is an SGS endeavour to bridge the skill gap our education system is facing with a shortage of trained teachers.
